Bifocal Lenses

Bifocal lenses are designed to provide clear vision at two different distances, usually for seeing far away and for close-up tasks such as reading. They are commonly used by people with presbyopia, an age-related change that makes it harder to focus on nearby objects. A traditional bifocal lens has a visible segment in the lower part of the lens for near vision, while the upper section is used for distance vision. Bifocals can be fitted into a range of spectacle frames and tailored to your prescription, lifestyle and visual needs. Although there may be a short adjustment period when first wearing them, bifocal lenses can offer a practical alternative to switching between separate pairs of reading and distance glasses.
